Applies to slings and sling assemblies of nominal size 12 mm diameter and greater, of the following types: single-part with soft eyes; endless; single-part or double-part leg; assembly with single-part leg; assembly with double-part leg. Materials, safe working load and manufacture are specified. Appendices include illustrations of various types of sling and sling assembly, values of safe working for single-part leg slings and sling assemblies, and recommendations on selection, storage and use.
