This specification sets out the general requirements for materials, manufacture, construction and finish for the basic types of playground equipment intended for use in parks, schools and domestic situations. The specification assumes that the equipment, although intended to be used by children only, will be capable of withstanding use by adults in unsupervised areas. Information on painting methods and notes on information which should be supplied by the purchaser when making an enquiry or placing an order are included as appendices.
