These separately published specifications prescribe specific safety requirements for surgical diathermy equipment and long-wave, short-wave and microwave therapeutic equipment in Part 1, for incubators of the free-standing and portable types intended for connection from supply mains in Part 2, and for direct writing electrocardiographs which are intended for connection from supply mains or batteries in Part 3.
