AS 3533-1988

Specifies requirements for the design, manufacture, construction, testing, assembly, erection, site layout, operation, maintenance, inspection, and fire safety measures of amusement rides and devices. It covers both fixed and portable amusement rides and devices, excluding transit equipment used in snowfields. It introduces a classification for these devices, covers various areas of design and various types of devices, including aquatic devices, and introduces a logbook. Eight appendices cover inter alia, safety rules for operators, a guide to non-destructive testing of critical components, and a list of State statutory authorities relevant to the registering of such devices.
