Covers the dimensional requirements, materials and marking of two forms of image quality indicator consisting respectively of wires of different diameters or drilled holes of different diameters in steps of different thicknesses. the image quality indicators descrived are suitable for assessing the quality of radiographs on materials having a thickness range of 3 mm to 250 mm inclusive, and recommendations regarding their use are given in Section Two.
