The method is suitable for the determination of up to 0.05 g of pentachlorophenol in treating solutions (Section ), up to 0.05 g of pentachlorophenol in wood volumes up to 0.25 in.3 (Section 11), and up to 0.25 g of pentachlorophenol in wood volumes up to 2.0 in.3 (Section ).
1.2 This test method is not applicable to samples containing halogens other than chlorine unless appropriate correction can be made. Total halogen (excluding fluorine) is calculated as its pentachlorophenol equivalent of chloride.
