Insert the following text and bullets (renumbered appropriately) immediately after the existing text of this clause: To enable the end-to-end management of resource reservation for QoS guaranteed streams, this standard further specifies protocols, procedures and managed objects, usable by existing higher layer mechanisms, that allow network resources to be reserved for specific traffic streams traversing a bridged local area network. To this end it a) Specifies the use of Dynamic Reservation Entries (8.8.7) in the filtering database to control the forwarding of frames associated with a particular Stream. b) Specifies a Stream Reservation Protocol (SRP). SRP facilitates the registration, de-registration and maintenance of stream reservation information in relevant bridges to establish end-to-end stream paths.
