This standard presents the most current technology and industry practices for the use of plant-applied coal tar enamel (CTE) external pipe coating systems. It establishes minimum requirements to ensure propoer application and performance and includes methods for qualifying and controlling the quality of CTE systems, and the inspection and repair of these systems.
