This standard presents a reasonably achievable set of soluble salt contamination values obtained from surface conductivity measurements and based on known common industry-specified values. The purpose is to provide a method to clearly describe specific levels of soluble salt conamination from testing for the purpose of specifying surface cleanliness prior to coating. This standard is maintained by Task Group 418.
