This standard describes procedures for the selection, surface preparation, application, and inspection of a coating system used to protect the interior surfaces of new and used rail tank cars for transportation of molten sulfur. Appendix A (nonmandatory) describes essential facilities and equipment for the application of a coating system to the interior of rail tank cars. Appendix B (nonmandatory) contains a suggested rail tank car coating system inspection report form. This standard is maintained by Task Group 067.
