This standard presents two test methods for the evaluation of protective coatings and linings for immersion service: one-side testing of a panel and immersion testing of a completely coated panel. The two test methods presented herein are intended to standardize loaboratory test procedures and to help in screening various coating materials. These two test methods can be used to evaluate protective coatings on any metallic substrate, such as steel, copper, or aluminum, etc. It includes several figures illustrating test equipment and laboratory set up. This standard is maintained by Task Group (TG) 266.
