The purpose of this test method is to specify five different test methods to evaluate coating systems for seawater immersion services. The five test methods are: cathodic disbondment, seawater immersion resistance, dimensional stability, aging stability, and edge-retention. A figure is included depicting an example of the edge-retention test, along with tables containing information on test specimens and coating materials. This standard is maintained by Task Group (TG) 264.
