This document specifies general principles and guidelines for the design, verification, quality control and assessment of structures and marine systems in offshore facilities subjected to foreseeable actions and operations. This document specifies principles that are applicable also to the successive stages in construction (i.e. fabrication, transportation and installation), to the use of the facility during operation, and to its final disposal.
This document is applicable to all types of offshore facilities used in the petroleum activities. This document is applicable to different types of materials used.
This document is applicable to all structural parts and marine systems.
