Revisions made in this edition:

2. Elimination of the option of employing aluminum or copper-clad aluminum conductors

7. Moved the Durability of Ink Print Test from the Marking Section to the Performance Section of the standard

8. Added the Spark Test in the Performance Section of the standard to be used as part of the factory inspection test program

9. Added preferable units of ozone concentration for the ozone exposure test

10. Editorial revisions

1.1 These requirements cover single-conductor, 18 - 10 AWG, gas-tube-sign cables with temperature ratings of 105 degrees C - 250 degrees C (221degrees F - 482 degrees F), and ratings of 5000 volts, 10000 volts, or 15000 volts. The cables are for use with gas-tube systems for signs, outline lighting, and interior lighting in accordance with the National Electrical Code and the Standard for Electrical Signs (UL 48).
